Seedbed Conditioner

The Seedbed Conditioner loosens compact soils in a way that preserves post-ripping looseness as well as the enlarged root systems that grow in freshly ripped soils.

The machine comes in two forms:  a Seedbed Conditioner for dryland cropping, and with an additional Bedformer Conditioner for irrigated and waterlogged land.

New machine improves soil fertility and improves crop yields.

The Seedbed Conditioner is a machine that will increase yields, soil organic carbon, drought resilience, waterlogging resilience and irrigation efficiency on all cropping soils.

This machine is literally the SILVER BULLET farmers have been waiting for.

It has been extensively tested over many years and crop types, on a wide variety of soils and climatic regimes, on both dryland and irrigation farming systems, and shown to increase and maintain higher yields, root growth, soil carbon, plant water use, and irrigation efficiency, without increasing the number or cost of cropping operations.

The machine comes in two forms: a Seedbed Conditioner for dryland cropping, and with an additional Bedformer Conditioner for irrigated and waterlogged land.  Both are patented.

After an initial (and final) ripping to about 30cm depth), the machines are used prior to seeding, or attached to a seeder, to ensure the perpetuation of a deep, loose seedbed and the undisturbed retention of enlarged root systems.

The machine requires less than 50 per cent HP of a no-till seeder on a typical no-till seedbed, and 75 per cent less HP when attached to a seeder on a deepened seedbed.

It has wide horizontal blades that SLICE through roots and soil, lifting, opening and dropping both without exposing any roots or inverting the soil.

The Bedformer Conditioner has additional specially designed furrowers and crumble rollers to shape beds without disturbing roots or inverting soil.
